2023 was the 72nd year for the Mira Costa Mustangs Baseball program. Over the years the team has won one (1) CIF Championship, three (3) CIF Finals, twenty (20) CIF Playoff appearances, three (3) Pioneer/Ocean League Championships and nine (9) Bay League Championships.

Two Costa Baseball alumni from the Class of 2019, Jared Karros and Chase Meidroth, and one alum from the Class of 2020, Petey Halpin, have been drafted by the MLB.

2021 Costa alumni Thatcher Hurd was the winning pitcher in game 3 of the 2023 College World Series for the LSU Tigers, winning their 7th National Championship.

The 2023 MLB Draft produced two (2) Costa Baseball Alumni. Merrick Baldo was selected by the Washington Nationals and Kyle Karros was selected by the Colorado Rockies.
